Kris Jenner opens up about ovary removal due to tumor, shares possible health challenges

Kris Jenner recently disclosed her health challenges, revealing on the latest episode of The Kardashians that she is preparing for surgery to remove her ovaries. The 68-year-old mother gathered her daughters Khloé, Kim, and Kendall Jenner to share the news, explaining that a recent scan had uncovered a cyst and a small tumor.

Visibly emotional, Kris tearfully expressed the significance of the procedure, stating, “I’m emotional about it because that’s where all my kids were conceived. That’s where they were grown. This is a very sacred place to me.” She admitted struggling to come to terms with the impending surgery and the emotional impact of losing this part of her body.

Reflecting on her age and the changes it brings, Kris remarked, “It is also a thing about getting older and it is a sign that we are done with this part of your life. It is a whole chapter that is closed.”

Kris, who shares children with both Robert Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner, received support from her daughters during this challenging time. Kim emphasized the seriousness of the surgery, saying, “To have a surgery and remove your ovary is a really big deal. I feel really sad for her.”

Kourtney Kardashian, understanding her mother’s sentiments, added, “I totally understand how my mom is feeling because I would feel the same way. It is like your womanly power and it doesn’t mean you are taking away who she is.”

Looking ahead, Kris confided in friends about the risks involved in the procedure and the uncertainties it brings. The episode also featured Kourtney’s return to work after welcoming her son and highlighted family dynamics during a trip to Colorado. The state has dropped charges against rapper and TV presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye, including allegations of rape, attempted murder, and assault. In a letter dated June 20 to Maarohanye’s lawyers, acting deputy director of public prosecution TJ Mbodi cited insufficient prospects for a successful prosecution based on a thorough review of the police docket and prosecutors’ report, along with the defense’s representations.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana confirmed the decision, stating, “After careful consideration of the case docket, prosecutor’s report, and representations made to the director of public prosecution’s office, it was determined that there are no reasonable prospects of successful prosecution. Therefore, the charges against Molemo Maarohanye have been withdrawn.” Read More
