This shocking incident underscores the exploitation and mistreatment that Zimbabwean workers sometimes face at the hands of foreign investors, revealing a failure on the part of the government to protect its citizens. The Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF) has strongly condemned the manager’s actions as “appalling, vile, inhumane, and savage,” and has called for swift action by the police.
