Where to celebrate Women’s Day in Durban

Happy Womens Day

National Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 9 August. It is the anniversary of the great women’s march of 1956. On that day, about 2,000 women marched to the Union Buildings to protest the carrying of passbooks by Black women in urban areas.

Even today, women continue to fight against oppression and for the equal rights of all humans.

To celebrate the day and the strength of women, there are several events happening in the country. Let’s look at those happening in and around Durban.
