Lekau Sehoana, the CEO of Drip Footwear, and his family have reportedly been expelled from their opulent residence due to a failure to meet rental payments. According to Zimoja, Sehoana, who was responsible for a monthly rent of R35,000, ceased payments in November 2023, leading to the eviction.
The financial difficulties extend beyond the loss of their home. Sehoana’s son has also been removed from school due to outstanding school fees, which have reportedly accumulated over several months. This disruption has compounded the family’s challenges, leaving the child without access to education and essential resources.
Lebogang Sehoana, Lekau’s wife, has shared her distress with Zimoja, shedding light on the broader issues facing the family. In a statement, she expressed frustration over the situation, alleging that Lekau’s mismanagement and neglect have caused significant suffering for their family. “We are tired of the abuse, the lies, and the tricks of Lekau. As we speak, his very own son is homeless and out of school with no food and no clothes. He even received a court order to pay maintenance and take responsibility, which he has failed to do for years,” Lebogang said.
She further criticized Sehoana’s public declarations, highlighting a discrepancy between his statements and actions. “In March 2024, during the launch of Claws sneakers, he boldly lied, claiming his kids would remain in school despite the liquidation case against him, knowing very well that his son has been out of school for years and he had a maintenance court order against him,” Lebogang added.
The situation presents a stark contrast to Sehoana’s public image as a successful entrepreneur and highlights the personal and financial struggles faced by his family.
