THE Zimbabwe women tennis team is in Nairobi, Kenya for the Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group Three tournament which gets underway this Monday.
Tennis Zimbabwe has selected six talented athletes to represent the country at the Billie Jean King Cup that will run from the 10th to the 15th of this month.
The six-member team comprises Sasha Chimedza, Rufaro Magarira, Tadiwanashe Mauchi, Tanyaradzwa Midzi, Kudzaishe Chapepa, and team captain Liberty Nzula.
The players are ready for the tournament after participating at African Games, ITF Circuit tournaments, and USA Collegiate Tennis events.
Zimbabwe had a tough outing in the previous edition where they were fourth.
The team is, however, determined to perform better at the tournament which has 12 other countries, including Namibia, South Africa, Tunisia, Nigeria, Uganda, Burundi, Ghana, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Botswana, and hosts Kenya.
