The family of South African rapper Da L.E.S is urgently seeking financial support to cover the medical expenses for their son, who suffered a stroke at home last Friday. The rap star is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Johannesburg. His mother, Priscilla Mampe, has expressed deep appreciation for any financial assistance to help manage the mounting medical bills.

A close friend of Da L.E.S has reached out to the rapper’s network, requesting contributions to assist the family during this challenging time. “Hi Friends, as support to Leslie’s family while Les is in hospital, we are encouraging friends to assist in kind to Leslie’s mother’s account below,” the letter reads, providing details for donations.

Reports indicate that Priscilla Mampe has traveled from the U.S.A. to South Africa to be with her son during his treatment. “She is not okay; I just want us to keep his family in her prayers. She is devastated,” a friend revealed, highlighting the emotional and financial strain on the family.

On Monday, Da L.E.S’s family released a statement confirming the stroke and appealing for public support. “Whilst he is in a stable condition, this remains a challenging time for his loved ones, and his family calls on the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult period,” the statement said.  The family’s plea underscores the difficult circumstances they are facing and the urgent need for support from the community and fans.

During a provincial inter-district conference in Goromonzi, Garwe expressed the province’s unanimous support for Mnangagwa to remain in office beyond his second term. “After seeing the positive results in terms of developments that are being done across the whole province, we agreed as a province that President Mnangagwa should stay,” Garwe stated.
