The musicians’ teams are raring to go, and our own Swan FC is taking on Star FM,” Mutemwa said. “We believe these sorts of events are important for local communities, and our children need to meet our football heroes.”
He also noted that Rufaro Stadium, with its deep historical roots since 1980, is the perfect venue for launching Swan Valley cigarettes and celebrating Zimbabwean culture. While the event has been advertised as free, Mutemwa clarified that access to the celebrations will require attendees to purchase two packs of Swan Valley cigarettes and present them at the entrance gate. “It is not really a free show per se, but a cheap one. Those wishing to attend must buy two packs of our cigarettes and show them at the entrance gate for access to the event,” he explained.
In addition to the music and soccer festivities, the Swan Valley brand launch has already enjoyed success in Beitbridge and is set to expand its reach into other regions, including Mutare, Bulawayo, and now Harare.
