In his tribute, Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Ezra Chadzamira, described Advocate Zvobgo as a dedicated and hardworking individual whose achievements, attained at a relatively young age, serve as an inspiration to Zimbabwean youth.
“As a province, we mourn with the Zvobgo family following the death of Advocate Zvobgo. He was a hardworking man, considering what he achieved at such a young age. We therefore urge our youths to be hardworking and to refrain from drug abuse,” Honourable Chadzamira said, emphasizing that Advocate Zvobgo’s life exemplifies how dedication and focus can yield remarkable accomplishments.
Chief Charumbira also spoke during the memorial, highlighting the late Advocate’s role as a model for youth across the country. “Yes, we mourn the passing of this young soul, but we are encouraged by what he achieved at such a young age. To fellow youths, he was an inspiration. We say emulate his good works and work for yourselves and your families,” Chief Charumbira remarked, urging young Zimbabweans to follow the late Advocate’s example of diligence, integrity, and community-mindedness.
At POTRAZ, where Advocate Zvobgo served as Board Chairperson, Director General Dr Gift Machengete described him as a leader of exceptional intellect, balanced judgment, and unwavering integrity. Dr Machengete emphasized that those who worked closely with Advocate Zvobgo recognized his ability to shape an organization positively through both professionalism and personal character.
“At POTRAZ, we came to know him as a man of sharp intellect, balanced judgment, and unwavering integrity. He entered every room with warmth and purpose,” Dr Machengete said, underscoring the profound impact Advocate Zvobgo had on colleagues and the wider ICT sector.
Family members also reflected on the personal qualities that made Advocate Zvobgo deeply cherished. Professor Rungano Zvobgo, his father and Vice Chancellor of Great Zimbabwe University, described his son as kind-hearted and full of promise.
“As a family, we are devastated by the death of my son. He was very young and kind-hearted. We had great expectations of him, and we will dearly miss him,” Professor Zvobgo said, capturing the sense of loss felt not only by his immediate family but by a nation that had benefited from his professional contributions.
