15-year-old boy in trouble after being caught pants down with a minor

A 15-year-old boy from Dangamvura, Mutare, was recently convicted of attempted rape by the Mutare Magistrates’ Court.

On the 6″ of June 2024 at around 0900 hours the complainant’s mother went with her 2-year-old daughter to her neighbour’s residence to charge her phone. According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the complainant went to play in the backyard while her mother was chatting with her neighbor waiting for the phone to charge.

A little while later the complainant’s mother went to look for her daughter and found the accused person wiping semen from the complainant’s buttocks and his clothes were also spoiled with the semen. The complainant’s mother reported the matter to the police leading to the accused person’s arrest.

The accused person was convicted and sentenced to 5 years which were wholly suspended for 5 years.

Early Wednesday morning, a truck carrying Ice Tropez beverages was hijacked on the R21 North at the Voortrekker off-ramp. The incident resulted in boxes of the popular drink being strewn across the road.
